To ensure optimal machinability and formability for bushing production, our SAE 1045 tubes are supplied in the annealed condition. The standard heat treatment process is as follows :
Annealing Temperature: 600°C – 650°C (Stress relief or full anneal)
Normalizing: 850°C (if required for specific grain refinement)
Quenching: 840°C
Tempering: 600°C
We can customize the heat treatment condition (normalized, quenched & tempered, or stress relieved) based on your final application requirements.

Q: Is SAE 1045 the same as CK45 or C45?
A: Yes, SAE 1045 is the U.S. standard equivalent to European CK45 (1.1191) and C45 grades. It is also comparable to JIS S45C .
